An African Safari..

A good opening into Africa this morning bagged me 5 new countries in the space of an hour, Senegal, Mauritius, The Gambia, Zimbabwe and Swaziland. All good reports on the Hexbeam, so feeling quite pleased. It certainly seems to perform. This afternoon I’ve been working the ARRL contest, trying to find new USA states. Not terribly successful as they seem to mostly be the states I worked in the last contest, so I was being very choosy.

It’s a shame that all the interesting countries I heard in the contest only want to work stateside, otherwise I could’ve bagged another five countries easily today.

Tidied up the feeders to the beam and that was the day gone! Looking forward to a rest from radio this evening 🙂
